The Puritans in New England

0:00

A Broadcast with W. Robert Godfrey

When the Puritans came to the new world, they had no intention of establishing a new religion. What they did want to do, however, was bring their old world religious ideal into reality. Despite the inherent difficulties in their new environment, the Puritans found some measure of early success. But as time passed, internal challenges added to the external. In this message, Dr. Godfrey summarizes the religious foundations of the American colonies, looking especially at the Puritans’ desire to maintain a pure church.

Our Aim

God calls His people to be transformed by the renewing of their minds. This transformation of thinking God’s thoughts after Him is a daily pursuit. To aid you in this, Renewing Your Mind broadcasts a daily message and related resource offer that exposits the glories of God revealed in the Bible against the backdrop of culture, philosophy, apologetics, ethics, and church history. Think of it as bridging the gap between Sunday school and seminary—equipping you for the Christian life.
