With the rise of higher criticism, particularly in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Scripture has come under widespread attack, but specifically, the concepts of infallibility and inerrancy have been sharply criticized.  Dr. Sproul explains the importance of the “Infallibility and Inerrancy” of the Word of God as we are finding that people are able to believe in the authority of Jesus, but not with respect to the authority of the Bible.
